Buena Vista

In this historic home, the primary challenge was designing around a hand-painted kitchen ceiling by architect-designer Herman Rosse, preserving it as the focal point of the space. By intentionally keeping the cabinetry and countertops understated and adding windows that frame garden views, the kitchen was transformed without competing with the artwork. The design approach carried through to the mudroom bath and primary bath, enhancing the existing architecture while elevating everyday function.
